Helicopter dispatched to Kalsoy for injured hiker in Faroe Islands

Shortly after noon yesterday, an Atlantic Helicopters helicopter was dispatched to Kalsoy to rescue an individual who had sustained injuries.

The person was part of a group hiking between Trøllanes and the peak of Kallur when they slipped and suffered a leg injury.

The helicopter transported the injured hiker to the National Hospital for treatment.

This incident marks the seventh time this summer that a helicopter has been deployed to assist individuals who have either fallen on the trails or become stranded. Most of those involved in these incidents are foreigners.
