Police bar Nazi-symbol car from public places
Eastern Finland Police have barred a car painted with racist symbols and slogans from being driven in public, Yle reported. The car has been seen in the Joensuu region.
Police suspect the relatively young man who drove it of incitement against an ethnic group. The driver has been contacted and told the car cannot be driven in public with the markings, said Jari Korhonen, the lead investigator at Eastern Finland Police.
If the driver ignores the instruction, police may seize the car. It is painted with a swastika, texts and numbers that refer to far-right extremism or racism. Korhonen said the man is not suspected of any other crimes.
