This year’s budget is expected to cost nearly 14 million kroner more in wage growth than forecast, KVF reports.

When the budget proposal was drawn up in September last year, wage growth was estimated at 3.25 per cent. The estimate has since risen to 3.64 per cent, an increase costing 13.8 million kroner, the Finance Ministry told the Finance Committee.

The committee is considering a proposal for supplementary appropriations totalling 24.3 million kroner.
