Police search for escaped patient in Kuopio

Police are searching for a 26-year-old man who left Niuvanniemi Hospital, a forensic psychiatric hospital in Kuopio, by bicycle on Friday evening, Yle reports.

The man is 187 centimetres tall, weighs about 80 kilograms and has short dark hair, according to police. He has two facial tattoos: a cross on the right side and a teardrop below his left eye.

He was wearing a red T-shirt and grey sweatpants when he left, but may have changed clothes. Police say he may be dangerous and warn people not to approach him. Anyone who sees him is asked to contact the emergency response centre.
