KVF reports that two people have applied for the post of deputy director with a medical background in the Hospital Service. The application deadline passed at noon.
The position was advertised again after only two people applied by the previous deadline on September 28. Both applicants then were men. The appointment committee will now decide how to proceed.
The deputy director is the Hospital Service’s most senior responsible doctor and also serves as a medical adviser to the Ministry of Health. Tummas í Garði previously held the post. He has left the role and now works as a doctor.
