The premises of an Orthodox parish in central Turku were broken into overnight from Thursday to Friday, Yle reported.
Southwest Finland Police confirmed to Yle that officers were investigating at an office building on Yliopistonkatu on Friday morning. Police said a report had been filed for attempted theft.
A Yle reporter at the scene saw a hole in the armoured-glass door leading to the parish hall and saw police bagging a long metal object. The parish office is in the office building behind the church.
