Portuguese airline TAP Air will begin scheduled flights between Keflavik and Lisbon next spring, mbl.is reports. The airline plans to operate three flights a week from April 1 to October 28, 2027.

The route will give passengers connections from Lisbon to destinations including Faro and Madeira in Portugal, as well as cities in Africa and South America.

TAP Air will join 28 other airlines that have announced plans to fly to and from Keflavik Airport next summer.

“It is very pleasing to welcome TAP Air to Keflavik Airport. Lisbon is a popular and exciting destination, and also a strong connecting hub for numerous destinations in southern Europe, Africa and South America. We look forward to working together,” Grétar Már Garðarsson, head of airline relations and marketing at Keflavik Airport, said in a statement.
