Åland backs Faroe Islands and Greenland on Nordic Council membership

Åland is backing the Faroe Islands and Greenland in seeking full membership of the Nordic Council, KVF reports. Sandra Listherby, who represents Åland on the council, said the question of full membership for all three territories was not resolved at this year’s annual meeting.

Listherby, a member of Åland’s parliament for the Liberal Party, said Åland was working towards full membership and fully supported the Faroe Islands and Greenland. She said she was disappointed that the issue had not been settled.
