Sorpa to cut workforce by 17 in cost-saving drive
Waste company Sorpa will reduce its workforce by 17, or 7%, mbl.is reported, after laying off 10 employees and deciding not to renew seven temporary contracts.
The measures are expected to save more than 200 million krónur a year, Sorpa said in a statement.
The company said the cuts follow a decision by its board instructing managers to find savings, partly to limit tariff increases and keep them below 2.5%.
