Iceland fully supports the Faroe Islands’ wish for full membership of the Nordic Council, and Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir expects a solution within a few months, KVF reports.
Speaking to KVF after a meeting of Nordic leaders, Frostadóttir said the Nordic countries have different relationships, but the organisation must make room for countries seeking change and a seat on the council.
She pointed to Iceland’s experience in resolving difficult situations between countries. The interview took place at the Nordic Council meeting in Helsinki.
