Police investigate fatal roof fall in Vaasa as safety offence

Police in Vaasa are investigating a fatal workplace accident after a worker fell from a roof, Yle reports.

Three people were working on a building’s roof in the Strömberg Park area at about 10.30 on Tuesday when one of them fell. The person died at the scene.

Police are investigating the death and have opened a separate preliminary investigation into a suspected occupational safety offence.
