Atlantic Airways has signed an agreement with Airbus for two more A320neo aircraft, due for delivery in 2032, KVF reports.
The aircraft will join two new planes scheduled to arrive in 2028 and 2029. The agreement also gives the airline the option to order two additional aircraft for delivery in 2032.
The purchase price has not been disclosed. The aircraft are part of a long-term investment plan worth more than two billion kroner.
With the new agreement, Atlantic Airways has four aircraft on order. The airline plans to operate only neo aircraft by 2032. The new planes use at least 20 per cent less fuel than older aircraft.
Board chairman Niels Mortensen said the investments were necessary for the airline to remain competitive with foreign carriers.
