The Faroe Islands still have no final decision on full membership of the Nordic Council, KVF reports, as the council holds its annual meeting in Helsinki.

A working group is preparing recommendations to amend the Helsinki Treaty so that there are no obstacles to full Faroese membership. Its work is not yet complete.

Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen is demanding a clear answer on whether the Faroe Islands will receive full membership.
