Negotiations commence between Mediation Institute and Engineering Masters’ Association regarding work time regulations in Faroe Islands

This afternoon, negotiations commenced between the Mediation Institute, the Municipal Employers’ Association, and the Engineering Masters’ Association regarding the engineers at SEV and IRF.

The primary focus is to reach an agreement on work time regulations within the framework of the new contract among the parties involved. The Mediation Institute has insisted that a working group address the issue of work time regulations before any other demands in the ongoing dispute between the Engineering Masters’ Association and KAF can be discussed.

The working group met this week and is reconvening now to delve into the specifics of the work time regulations.

The current contract expired in October 2022, and discussions are now centered around a three-year agreement. The Engineering Masters’ Association reached out to the Mediation Institute on July 5 for assistance in these negotiations.
