Two new Faroese vessels join international ship register

Two newly built Faroese vessels were registered in the Faroe Islands International Ship Register (FAS) on consecutive days, KVF reported.

Akranes, a vessel belonging to Smyril Line, was registered on Monday. On Tuesday, the cargo ship Hav Fles, belonging to Navigare Shipping in Søldarfjørður, was added to the register, according to the Faroese Maritime Authority.

Hav Fles is a sister ship to Hav Leiti, which was registered in FAS this summer. It is the second of four newbuilds Navigare Shipping is having built.
