Planned savings in the Faroe Islands’ health service will cost seven or eight jobs, KVF reports. Five or six positions are at the National Hospital, one at Klaksvík Hospital and one at Suðuroy Hospital.

Health Minister Eyðdis Hartmann Niclasen gave the figures in response to a question from MP Sirið Stenberg.

It is too early to say how the savings will affect patient treatment, waiting lists and consultants, Niclasen said.
