Cyclist taken to hospital after collision with car

A cyclist was taken by ambulance to the emergency department at Landspítali hospital after colliding with a car at the junction of Laugarásvegur, Sundlaugavegur and Brúnavegur this morning, mbl.is reported.

The accident happened shortly before 9am, according to a watch commander with the Capital Area Fire Service. He did not know whether the cyclist had been injured, but said the person was taken to hospital for treatment.
