Fiber-optic cable cut near Akranes disrupts mobile and internet service

A fiber-optic cable was severed on Míla’s trunk line between Akranes and Lambahagi in Melasveit, affecting mobile service around Svínadal, Lambahagi and Grundartangi, as well as internet connections near Lambahagi, mbl.is reported.

Míla said the fault was located just east of the roundabout leading into Akranes. Its construction division has begun repairs.
