Man charged with shooting grebe in Saksun, Faroe Islands

A man has been charged with shooting a grebe in Saksun last night.
The man denies the allegations.
He is accused of violating hunting laws by shooting a bird on someone else’s land. Grebes are a protected species in the Faroe Islands.
The police have also confiscated a shotgun that was found in the man’s vehicle.
An eyewitness reported the shooting to the authorities.
