Finnish military restricts airspace and maritime area in eastern Gulf of Finland

The Finnish Defence Forces have imposed temporary restrictions on airspace and a maritime area in the eastern Gulf of Finland, Yle reports.

The restrictions took effect shortly before 6 a.m. The Defence Forces announced them on the social media platform X.

The measure is a precaution intended to protect bystanders and ensure authorities can operate to counter possible drones, the Defence Forces said.
