The tourism association is urging the minister responsible to revive plans for stricter rules on serving meals from private homes, KVF reports. A proposed regulation was put out for consultation shortly before the spring parliamentary election but never came into force after the election was called.

Under the draft rules, the provider would have to be a member of the household living where the food is served, and the food would have to be prepared in a private kitchen used by that household. The activity would not be allowed in an outbuilding, barn, boathouse or other premises that is not the provider’s home.

Jacob Vestergaard, who now oversees the matter, says he has no plans to take it up again.
