Finland’s government has proposed allowing courts to ban people from stores for serious or repeated disruptive behaviour, Yle reported in an STT news brief.

The bill was submitted to Parliament on Thursday. The government aims to bring the law into force next summer.

The Finnish Commerce Federation, which represents employers, and the Service Union United PAM, which represents retail workers, support the proposal. Both consider it an important measure to improve safety in stores.
