ICES to deliver fishing-day system review in March

ICES will publish its review of the fishing-day system and its management plan on 30 March 2027, KVF reports.

Earlier this year, government minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen asked the international scientific organisation to assess the system. ICES, which provides scientific advice on fisheries and the marine environment, confirmed it had accepted the request and was working on the review.

The organisation’s findings will help assess whether fishing is sustainable.
