Kehitysvammaliitto, a Finnish association for people with intellectual disabilities, will lay off seven employees after change negotiations, Yle reports. Three other employees will move to part-time work, while 17 will face long periods of temporary layoff.

The association says it is adjusting its operations in anticipation of cuts to STEA funding. It says a planned reduction in its general grant would put its entire operation at risk.

Kehitysvammaliitto will end its employment-support services and make cuts to counselling, research and peer activities.
