Authorities to close new Arnarnes Road for paving Thursday

The new Arnarnes Road will close in two stages on Thursday for paving, mbl.is reports. The road authority and Kópavogur Municipality have approved closures on Arnarnes Road and Rjúpnavegur, and have asked motorists to follow the restrictions.
Both roads will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon. From noon to 4 p.m., Rjúpnavegur will be closed between Hvarfatorg and the junction with Kóravegur and Ásakór.
Traffic was recently allowed onto the new section of Arnarnes Road between Rjúpnavegur and Breiðholtsbraut.
