Passengers travelling with DSB can expect longer journey times between Odense and Fredericia through Sunday, October 18, DR reported Monday. All regional trains on the route have been replaced by buses.
International trains, Intercity Lyn and Intercity services are running as usual, but will travel at reduced speeds on parts of the route, DSB said on its website.
Disruption began after a fire broke out on Friday in a railway signal hut near Aarup, a station town on western Funen. The fire caused signal failures between Middelfart and Odense, disrupting train services on Funen and across the country.
Early Monday, train services in both directions between Odense and Fredericia were also suspended after a tree fell onto an overhead power line on western Funen, Fyns Police said. Intercity Lyn and Intercity services between the country’s regions resumed at about 06:00, but regional trains on western Funen continue to be replaced by buses because of Friday’s fire.
