Fuglebjerg, police investigation, traffic accident

Five people were injured in a crash on a country road near Fuglebjerg, between Næstved and Slagelse, late Saturday. DR reports that police suspect reckless driving was involved.

The crash happened on Næstved Landevej shortly before 9 p.m. A white Tesla and another car collided. Police have seized the Tesla and charged its driver, a man in his 20s, with reckless driving, according to police duty officer Jesper Skotte, who spoke to Ritzau. The driver was also tested for alcohol and drugs.

All five injured people were taken to hospital and are out of life-threatening danger, TV 2 Øst reported. Two were in one car and three in the other. They are all between 16 and 30 years old.

Police are seeking witnesses, particularly people travelling towards Slagelse on Næstved Landevej in a white or yellow Fiat Panda, or in a light-coloured car believed to be a Nissan. Police say an oncoming white Tesla Model 3 was partly in their lane while overtaking.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 114.
