Icelandic entertainer Sverrir Þór Sverrisson, known as Sveppi, says his son ended up at a police station after a prank alarmed residents of Fossvogur, mbl.is reports.

Speaking on the podcast Beint í bílinn, Sveppi said he received a call from police and initially thought it was a prank call himself. His son had lost a gambling game with friends and was made to carry out a challenge.

The boy’s hands and feet were bound with tape, and tape was placed over his mouth. He was left lying on the doorstep of a home, where someone rang the doorbell. The residents called police, who found out who was involved, including Sveppi’s son.

Sveppi said he thought the incident might be part of a TikTok trend. After reading about it, he had assumed it was a case of serious bullying. When he went to collect his son, the friends looked ashamed, he said.
