Danish Liberal Party to hold summer meeting in Faroe Islands for first time since 2009
For the first time in 15 years, the Danish Liberal Party (Vinstra) will hold its summer meeting in the Faroe Islands. The event is scheduled from August 15 to 18, spanning from Thursday to Sunday.
Anna Falkenberg, a member of the Danish Parliament representing the Union Party (Sambandsflokkin) and part of the Liberal Party delegation, will host the visit.
This marks the first summer meeting in the Faroe Islands since 2009. The entire party delegation, including ministers, will be in attendance. The Liberal Party has previously held summer meetings in the Faroe Islands, first in 1992 under the leadership of Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, and again in 2009 with Lars Løkke Rasmussen as chairman.
In addition to political discussions, there will be opportunities for recreational activities, including a football match between the Liberal Party and the Union Party.
