Snow in Kainuu will turn to rain as Saturday stays chilly

A cold northerly wind will make Saturday chilly across Finland, while snow in Kainuu is expected to turn to rain, Yle reports.

Rain is forecast in eastern Finland. The first snowfall of the autumn reached Kainuu on Friday and is expected to remain mostly snow during Saturday morning before changing to rain in the afternoon. The precipitation will move east of Finland during the evening.

Sunday is expected to be sunny across much of the country as high pressure strengthens over northern Finland. Temperatures in the north will stay close to zero.
