Pedagogues highlight the value of care work

The Pedagogues’ Association held a professional day at the Varpið venue in Klaksvík on Friday, focusing on the importance of care work and the difficulty of putting a monetary value on it, KVF reports.

That difficulty often leaves care work at a disadvantage, the association said. Its chair, Sanna á Løgmansbø, spoke to KVF about the issue.

Danish author Emma Holten, who wrote the book UNDERSKUD, also gave a lecture at the event.
