Sjónám to appoint its own director

Sjónám in Klaksvík is to appoint its own director, KVF reports. Minister Bárður á Lakjuni has decided to advertise the position.

Since 2011, Sjónám’s head has reported to the director of the Technical School in Klaksvík, who has formally led both schools.

The appointment is also intended to lay the groundwork for closer cooperation between Sjónám and Vinnuháskúlin. The new director will work with other stakeholders to develop an overall plan for future cooperation between the schools.

The director is due to take up the post on January 1, 2027.
