Kringvarp Føroya reports that the government plans to end funding for treatment trips to Croatia organised by the Psoriasis Association and the Arthritis Association. Each association receives 500,000 kroner to arrange the trips.

Fríða Æðustein Poulsen, who has psoriasis, says treatment in Croatia has been the right option for her. The chair of the Psoriasis Association regrets the planned loss of support.

The associations receive about 50 applications a year for the trips. Around 20 patients are selected, roughly 10 with psoriasis and 10 with arthritis, to receive treatment in Croatia on a doctor’s recommendation.
