Climate therapy in Croatia is vital to the quality of life of people with arthritis and psoriasis, the chair of the Faroese Arthritis Association says. Kringvarp Føroya (KVF) reports that funding for the treatments has been removed from the budget.
The Arthritis Association and the Psoriasis Association have so far received a total of one million kroner for the treatments abroad, with each group receiving 500,000 kroner. The Arthritis Association administers the funding.
The four-week treatment costs about 45,000 kroner per person. The associations send 21 people abroad each year, with a doctor assessing who is eligible.
