Icelandair will resume flights to Madrid and add St. Louis in Missouri to its route network next summer, the airline said in a statement reported by mbl.is.
Flights to Madrid will begin on April 9, with two to three departures a week. Service to St. Louis starts on May 14, with three to four flights a week. Flights to the two destinations will run until October 24 and 25, respectively.
Icelandair also plans to strengthen its partnership with Southwest, described in the statement as the largest airline in St. Louis. The partnership will provide connections between destinations across North America and Iceland, with onward travel to Europe, as well as connections in the opposite direction.
“It is a great pleasure to add Madrid and St. Louis to our route network next summer. St. Louis is an exciting addition, and Madrid is a popular destination that we are pleased to offer again,” Tómas Ingason, Icelandair’s managing director of revenue, service and marketing, said in the statement.
