Strong gusts and rockfall risk forecast in Iceland
Wind gusts of up to 35 metres per second are forecast for Kjalarnes, near Hafnarfjall and near Eyjafjöll tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., mbl.is reports, citing a notice from a meteorologist at the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration.
Winds are also expected to strengthen and rain to fall from the southeast across southwestern Iceland. The Eastfjords are forecast to receive substantial rain, increasing the risk of rockfalls from the afternoon into the night.
