None of the three ships that collided with Ålesund on Sunday night had a pilot aboard, Norwegian police say, according to KVF. Port authorities have confirmed the information.
The ships were permitted to sail without a pilot. No one has been charged, but the people on the bridges are under suspicion.
Bergfjord and Hav Frakt are in Ålesund awaiting instructions from the Norwegian Maritime Authority. Both must be repaired before they are allowed to sail again.
