Unauthorised users accessed personal details held in Denmark’s CPR register for 8.8 million people over about 10 days in September, after exploiting a smaller Danish company’s legitimate access to the register, DR reports.

The information included names, addresses and CPR numbers. DR’s legal correspondent, Louise Dalsgaard, and Sofie Freja Christensen, head of cyber risk and offensive security at Consica, are ready to answer questions about the incident.

DR is inviting readers to ask what is known about the breach, what problems the theft could cause and what people can do themselves.
