More young boys start ADHD medication in Finland

Yle reported, citing Kela, that 3.1 percent of boys aged 6 to 8 started ADHD medication last year, up slightly from 2.9 percent the previous year.

In total, 4,160 boys in that age group received ADHD medication last year, representing 5.3 percent of the group.

The share starting medication was highest in North Savo, at just over 5 percent, and lowest in Helsinki, at about 1.5 percent.
