Johannesen says Tel Aviv embassy will stay open

Faroe Islands Prime Minister Beinir Johannesen says the embassy in Tel Aviv will not close, despite an announcement earlier this week, KVF reported.

Foreign Affairs Minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen had said that the embassies in Tel Aviv and Moscow would close as part of savings in the Foreign Service. Johannesen is also chairman of the People’s Party.
