Klíníkin Ármúla, a clinic, has completed a 300 million króna share capital increase, meeting its full target, mbl.is reported. The company also sold about 23 million króna worth of its own shares to 13 employees, who together acquired a 2% stake.

Nine doctors working at the clinic joined its shareholder group earlier this year. The company now has 44 owners, including many doctors and other healthcare workers.

The clinic said the new capital would strengthen its finances and help fund further growth. It plans to open two additional operating rooms in early 2027. The clinic currently has four operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms and an inpatient ward staffed around the clock, five days a week.

The company moved to larger premises at Ármúli 7-9 in mid-2025. Its operating revenue that year was about 2.7 billion króna, an increase of 11.4% from the previous year.

“We are very pleased with the result,” Kristján Jón Jónatansson said in the company’s announcement, adding that it was especially encouraging to see employees invest in the clinic. He said the new operating rooms would increase capacity and help the clinic carry out more procedures in response to demand and need.

The clinic performs both day surgeries and procedures requiring patients to be admitted.
