Rain and showers expected across Iceland

Rain showers are forecast across much of Iceland today, with a wetter weekend ahead, mbl.is reports.

Southerly winds of 5 to 13 metres per second are expected, with little precipitation in the northeast. Temperatures will range from 7 to 13 degrees Celsius, warmest in the northeast.

On Saturday, southeasterly winds of 8 to 13 metres per second will bring rain, arriving first in the southwest. Considerable rainfall is expected in the south and west. Winds will ease on Saturday evening and the rain will let up, while temperatures will change little.
