Employers’ association focuses annual meeting on labour market and competitiveness

Iceland’s Confederation of Employers is holding its annual meeting on the labour market model and the country’s competitiveness, mbl.is reports. The meeting is taking place at Silfurberg in Harpa from 3pm to 5pm and is being streamed live.
The discussion will consider how to create conditions for stability, purchasing power and a competitive business sector.
Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir and Confederation of Employers chairman Jón Ólafur Halldórsson will deliver addresses. The association’s managing director, Bjarni Benediktsson, will give a presentation titled “Moving forward,” and Rannveig Rist, former chief executive of Rio Tinto in Iceland, will also address the meeting.
