Björk’s Oulu DJ set sells out in minutes

Tickets for Icelandic artist Björk’s DJ set in Oulu sold out within minutes, Yle reported. The 700 tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, and by 10.04 a.m. the ticketing service Lippu.fi said none were available.

Buyers were already queuing shortly after sales opened. Henri Turunen, programme director for the Oulu2026 project, said organisers knew there would be strong interest but could not be certain how demand would develop for an unusual event.

Björk will perform at the Tarkastamo club on Sunday, November 15. Roope Sulkala of Tarkastamo said he was not surprised by the rapid sellout, adding that the venue had received many enquiries despite not selling the tickets or organising the event.

An immersive exhibition connected to Björk’s forthcoming album will open on November 13 at the Pekuri shopping centre in Oulu. It will be installed in the same premises as a visiting exhibition from Fotografiska Tallinn.
