In a court session held in Reykjavik District Court, all defendants pleaded not guilty in a case involving drug trafficking and organized crime. The main suspect, believed to be behind a significant drug ring, was accused of smuggling 2.2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in pots and pans on the AIDASOL cruise ship that docked in Iceland in April.

Fourteen co-defendants, who allegedly worked alongside him, also denied the primary charges. Three of these individuals were absent from the hearing and will respond later this month. While the defendants acknowledged guilt regarding lesser offenses related to possession, they rejected the major allegations against them.

The case revolves around the cocaine smuggling incident, raising serious concerns about drug trafficking networks in the region. Further updates on the case are expected as it progresses through the legal system.
