Underage drivers must display a green-yellow marker

Drivers under 18 must now display a green-yellow marker on any vehicle that requires a category B driving licence, Yle reports.

The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, Traficom, says the marker must be placed in a visible position at the rear of the vehicle. The requirement applies to passenger cars and to vehicles such as tractor quad bikes capable of travelling faster than 60 kilometres per hour when driven by a minor.

Drivers under 18 are responsible for obtaining the marker. It must be hexagonal and measure between 15 and 20 centimetres in diameter.
