Finnish news agency STT warns its operations could end

Finnish news and photo agency STT is planning a major restructuring that could end its business in its current form, Yle reports. The agency said the move follows long-running losses in its news and photo services.

STT is starting change negotiations affecting almost all its staff. The restructuring could lead to the loss of up to 95 jobs. The negotiations cover 95 employees, including 68 in the text and photo newsrooms and others working in services such as development and business operations.

STT last reorganised its operations around the turn of 2025 and 2026, when Sanoma’s news outlets stopped using its services.
