The Driftwood Man sells to major US and UK publishers

Jens Pauli Heinesen’s novel The Driftwood Man has been sold to publishers W.W. Norton in the United States and Canongate in the United Kingdom, KVF reports. The English translation will carry the title The Driftwood Man.
Award-winning American translator Damion Searls and Heinesen’s daughter, Elin Brimheim Heinesen, translated the novel together.
Heinesen published the book in 1977 through his own publishing house, Gesti. It has also been translated into Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic.
