Bæjarapótek takes over pharmacy in Hólmavík

Bæjarapótek opened a pharmacy branch in Hólmavík on Monday, taking over operations from the West Iceland Healthcare Institution, mbl.is reports.

The branch will continue operating from the Hólmavík health clinic. Júlíana Ágústsdóttir has become its manager. She is familiar to residents of the Strandabyggð community, having worked in the pharmacy in recent years.

Bæjarapótek opened its first pharmacy at Eiðistorg in Seltjarnarnes in March. The company says it has been well received by local residents and other customers. Þórður Hermannsson holds the pharmacy licence, and Björn S. Traustason is the managing director.

The company says it focuses on high-quality service, a broad product selection and competitive prices.
