Social Affairs Minister Margit Stórá has promised that no services will be cut, a day before the proposed 2027 budget is due to be presented, KVF reported.

Stórá made the pledge while attending a conference at the Nordic House, where the organisation MEGD asked how welfare can be secured for the future.

Economist Majbritt Skov, a department head at Deloitte, said investment in people’s wellbeing is needed to sustain welfare and make it affordable in the years ahead. She said this means looking beyond financial sustainability to human sustainability, including whether people thrive and are included.

Stórá and Skov also appeared on the radio programme Breddin on Tuesday morning.
